A Few Administrative Notes

Our application is now open! We’d like to offer a few notes for those planning to apply in the coming weeks. 

• Every year, there is a two-to-three-week window – beginning August 1 – during which the technical components of the Common Application are updated and revised for all the schools in the country. During this time, we are unable to send an immediate confirmation email that (1) confirms receipt of your application and (2) provides instructions for requesting an interview or submitting a recorded video option. We do not have an exact date as to when we can provide confirmation emails, but please note that the five-day window to submit a request for a virtual interview or recorded video will not begin until the confirmation email has been sent.
  • Also, please be aware that you must first submit an application for admission before you are eligible to complete an interview or submit a video. You should expect to receive an email that provides further instructions and details about the interview and the video – again, after submitting an application.
  • The very first virtual interviews for this cycle will be held on August 17.
• As senior year unfolds, we will be communicating with our applicants via email about their application status and a number of other topics related to Wake Forest. We understand why they would choose a school-provided email address as their preferred email, but a number of our messages tend to be undelivered, or captured by various spam filters, when sent to a school-based email. With this in mind, we’d encourage using a different email address to receive messages from us.
