At Wake Forest University, the arts belong to everyone!

In fact, more than 90% of the students who participate in performing arts organizations choose to major in something other than the arts. We seek out creative students to enrich our campus community by offering Presidential Scholarships for those who show exceptional talents in art, dance, debate, music, and theatre.

Twenty renewable scholarships of $16,000 each are awarded annually. If you are a high-school senior and interested in applying, you should prepare evidence of your talent (such as art portfolios, debate records, taped performances, etc.) and recommendations.

Preference will be given to applicants who apply by November 15, but this is not a deadline. Applications received past November 15 will be considered as talent areas allow.

Finalists will be contacted by the beginning of March. Learn more on how to apply

Wake Forest is a place that encourages cross-disciplinary investigation, and there are many opportunities for students to flex that creative development. We hope you’ll consider applying!

Warmest regards,
