The arts belong to everyone!

At Wake Forest, you will experience world-class arts education embedded within Wake Forest’s exceptional liberal-arts environment. Whether as an arts major, minor, or a deeply engaged participant in your given artistic field, your education will be rigorous and deeply experiential. We seek out the best young artists in art, dance, theatre, music, and debate, and offer Presidential Scholarships for those who show exceptional promise.

Renewable scholarships of $16,000 each are awarded annually. If you are a high-school senior and interested in applying, you should prepare evidence of your talent and recommendations. Learn more on how to apply for the Presidential Scholarship.

Students will find the Presidential Scholarship application in their student portal after they submit their application for undergraduate admission. The priority deadline for completing the Presidential Scholarship application is November 15; however, we will continue to accept applications after this date as talent areas allow. The application will close on January 4, 2026. Finalists are invited for an in-person or virtual interview by the beginning of March. Winners are notified in late March.

Through the Presidential Scholarship, our arts faculty connect profoundly with students who are committed to their growth as artists and scholars, providing individual mentorship and bountiful encouragement. In the meantime, you are also supported in your other academic passions. The arts’ deep connection to the wider world make them a wonderful way to tie together all the threads of your extraordinary Wake Forest education. We hope you’ll consider applying.

Warmest regards,

Magdalena Perez Vicente
Assistant Dean of Admissions
