An Update from Admissions
This year, we reviewed nearly 20,000 applications for admission to the Wake Forest Class of 2029. This represents both an increase in our application volume over last year and a new record. A significant portion of our admitted cohort is near the top of their respective high school class (95% in the Top 20% for those attending schools that rank), and, while Wake Forest remains committed to our test-optional policy, the average scores of admitted test-submitters were a 1470 SAT and a 33 ACT. In summary, this admissions cycle continues to reveal significant interest, from immensely talented students from across the United States and around the globe, in attending Wake Forest University.
Today is the day.
Later this evening, we will release admissions decisions to all students whose applications were complete as of February 17. (For those with applications complete after that date, we will release decisions on a rolling basis over the next few weeks.) Applicants should first expect to receive an email, prompting them to check their status page, where an admissions decision may be reviewed.
To those applicants offered admission: Congratulations! Your admission to Wake Forest is a testament to your academic accomplishment, community engagement, and alignment with our motto and mission, Pro Humanitate. Please keep an eye on your email inbox for additional details about on-campus and virtual programming for admitted students; for now, please save the date for April 4 and 11 for Campus Days. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
Our goal is to provide financial aid award notifications by April 4, 2025, for students with complete financial aid applications. If you haven’t received a notification by then, please contact us at finaid@wfu.edu.
If you still need to submit your financial aid documents, we encourage you to do so promptly. Please allow 5–7 business days for processing, and check your status portal for updates. Financial aid letters will continue to be released on a rolling basis through the end of April (and beyond for those who enroll).
For those students who received a waitlist decision, we invite you to join us for our Waitlist Webinar on Thursday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m. In the coming days, through this blog and via email, we will have more information for those invited to join the waitlist.
Lastly, we’d like to acknowledge those students who were not admitted or invited to join the waitlist. Selecting students to whom we will offer admission is difficult, and this year was no exception. We wish you only the very best as your college search continues.
With kindest regards,
Wake Forest University Office of Undergraduate Admissions
