As shared in a previous post, our goal is to release admissions decisions to Early Decision I applicants in the month after their application is considered complete. We are pleased to share that we recently released admissions decisions to the very first group of those who applied Early Decision I. Applicants should review their status portal for information, if they have not already.

Congratulations to those who were invited to join the Wake Forest Class of 2029! We look forward to officially welcoming you to our student community in the months ahead, but, for now, Wake-Foresters-to-be, please wear that Wake hat or T-shirt with a special sense of pride and accomplishment. Our best to you for an incredible senior year.

Some applicants received disappointing news from the Admissions Committee, and, while our consideration of them for admission to this term has ended, we are quite confident they will find a wonderful collegiate home.

And for those who have been deferred, we would encourage you to be in touch with your admissions representative as the rest of your senior year unfolds. We invite updated grades and notice of special awards and recognitions. We will re-evaluate deferred candidates in the Regular Decision applicant pool, which does not include the binding commitment that accompanies applying via Early Decision.

We’d also like to take a moment to acknowledge those applicants who were hoping to receive an admissions decision but did not. We appreciate your eagerness and anticipation of that decision, and we are reviewing a robust group of applicants for our next decision release in October.

Whatever your role in the college admissions process, we thank you for your interest in Wake Forest University – and for all of your efforts in our admissions process!
