A Message for Juniors (Rising Seniors)!
With the summer now underway, we wanted to share a few notes to rising high school seniors. We know that many are eager to begin their college admissions process, and we hope that what follows is helpful as you plan and prepare to submit an application to Wake Forest.
- Our application for admission will be available on August 1. We will accept the Common Application and the Coalition Application, Powered by SCOIR. Your experience will be the same, no matter which application you choose, and both applications are evaluated in the same manner.
- We would encourage you to familiarize yourself with our various application deadlines: November 15 for those applying via Early Decision or Early Action (for first-generation college students only); January 1 for those applying Early Decision II or Regular Decision. If you are interested in applying Early Decision, our virtual program on July 17 from 7-8 pm might be of interest!
- The supplemental writing prompts for the 2025-2026 application cycle are as follows:
- List five books you’ve read that have intrigued you. (150 character limit per book title).
- Tell us what piques your intellectual curiosity or has helped you understand the world’s complexity. This can include a work you’ve read, a project you’ve completed for a class, and even co-curricular activities in which you have been involved. (150 word limit).
- Dr. Maya Angelou, renowned author, poet, civil-rights activist, and former Wake Forest University Reynolds Professor of American Studies, inspired others to celebrate their identities and to honor each person’s dignity. Choose one of Dr. Angelou’s powerful quotes. How does this quote relate to your lived experience or reflect how you plan to contribute to the Wake Forest community? (300 word limit).
- Give us your Top Ten List. (The choice of theme is yours.) (100 character limit per line).
We look forward to sharing more information about our application process later this summer. In the meantime, we hope you have a chance to relax, unplug, and connect with those closest to you. Here’s to a fantastic summer!
