With only a few days remaining in this calendar year, we write with some important information – but, first, a word of thanks: for all the time you’ve spent this year learning about our campus and student community; for the opportunities we’ve had to meet you, whether in Winston-Salem, your high school, your hometown, or virtually; for each email and social-media post read; and even for the time you have spent discussing Wake Forest with your college advisors, our alumni, and members of our community. Thank you for your interest in our university.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will close at 3 p.m. on December 22, 2022, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. As we approach our final application deadline, it is important to keep the following in mind:

  • You have until 11:59 p.m. on January 1, 2023, to submit your Regular Decision or Early Decision II application. If that time comes and goes, and you find that your application was officially submitted after midnight, do not panic. We fully expect all of the application platforms to be especially busy that day, and we recognize that technical difficulties may arise.
  • As a reminder, your status portal is the best resource to review the status of your application. Please be aware that your admissions checklist will only reflect the materials required in our admissions process; supplemental materials (e.g. a résumé or recommendations beyond the two required) or optional materials (e.g. your video interview) will not be reflected in your checklist.
  • If you have any questions about your application or your application status, please give us until January 17, 2023, before contacting us. The end of the year typically brings unusually high email volume, and it can take a couple of weeks for our staff to process those messages. Please be aware that it can also take that amount of time for all of our admissions and financial-aid systems to update and for your checklists to reflect any documentation recently submitted.

Best wishes through the remainder of our application process, but, in the meantime, we hope that this winter break provides an opportunity to relax and recharge before the upcoming semester.

Happy holidays, and happy New Year!

Kindest regards,

Wake Forest University Office of Undergraduate Admissions
