First Year Orientation


We’re willing to bet you have more than a few questions. Campus Day is designed specifically for you to spend some time exploring our campus to find the answers you’re looking for. It’s your chance to talk to students and faculty, get a feel for campus life and begin to see yourself at Wake Forest. It won’t be the same without you.


Schedule of Events

Dates Friday, April 5 or April 12, 2019
7:30-8:30 a.m. Check-in at Wait Chapel
8:30 a.m. Welcome to Wake Forest
Learn about Wake Forest from the insiders, including the Provost, Dean of Admissions and current students.
9:45 a.m. Break
Walk to designated locations for Academic Seminars.
10:00 a.m. Academic Seminars – Section 1
Choose from several seminars with Wake Forest faculty from various departments.
11:00 a.m. Fall Into the Forest
Choose from a variety of activities until 2:00 PM:

  • Academic Seminars – Section 2
  • Tours of first-year residence halls
  • Tours of select academic departments/facilities
  • Special interest seminars/receptions
  • Lunch on your own (various campus dining locations)
2:15pm Forestry 101
What you need to know going forward as an incoming freshman student to Wake Forest University.
3:00 p.m. Student Activities Fair
Explore various student organizations.
4:00 p.m. Athletics Facilities Tour
Get a brief tour of BB&T Field, Couch Baseball Park, and the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, where you’ll cheer on our football, baseball, and basketball teams! Buses will pick you up from the same location you will use for pickup on game days (Lot P behind Poteat Hall near Wait Chapel). Registration is limited.

Wake Downtown

Wake Downtown Tour for Admitted Students

The day prior to Campus Day, admitted students are invited to visit and tour our Wake Downtown campus. Participants will meet at the Porter Byrum Welcome Center/Undergraduate Admissions Office and travel by charter bus downtown. The visit and tour with return trip will last approximately two hours.
